EXPERIMENTAL FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL

Peripheries Experimental Film and Video Festival, founded by Chicago-based filmmaker and curator Nicholas Swanton, returns for a fourth year, this time setting up residency for two extended weekends at Humboldt Park’s Sweet Void Cinema from September 19th - 29th.

This year’s Peripheries programming represents multiple generations of artists committed to radical and avant-garde ethos; practitioners from Chicago and beyond, whose work have shaped the trajectory of underground cinema. Peripheries 2024 is unflinchingly dedicated to the most inventive, original, abstract, and, at times, politically militant work of the medium’s history.
